At the supermarket checkout yesterday was a magazine- I think Life that was about cats & listed the articles on the cover. #2 Rulers of the house. Is that ever true!

Awww, just what she needed after Chesney’s snakiness this week. Woke up at 2:30 with the feeling of water in my ear, then strong pain as if something was crawling inside. Put on the coffee and considered the ER – 40 miles away – but first read about it on webmd and it’s apparently not uncommon and can have many causes. Homemade ear drying drops equal parts white vinegar and alcohol were suggested and it’s feeling better but I am also very congested. So it’s a wait and see…

I saw something unusual yesterday. In one corner of my backyard, there is a wooden pole that holds electric wires and a transformer. Well, just beneath the transformer, there was a head poking out from the pole. A woodpecker built a nest inside the pole! I wrote to the electric company about this. They probably will have to change the pole. I just hope the baby birds will be out of the nest when the company will change the pole

Was that cute or what?We had a family of quail in the backyard on Thurs. Those babies were SO cute!

Hooray for Oliver! He made Annie’s day better. What a nice, sweet, kitty. On another note, saw two juncos, four chickadees, and two dragonflies while out walking today.
