From yesterday’s comments, MIHorn said about my zucchini, “Wait about 45 minutes — the zucchini will be as big as baseball bats! (Seriously, I love zucchini and yellow squash in the summer).”
You’re not kidding! I grew zucchini for the first time last year and I could not believe how fast they grew from a tiny thing to a whopper. I plan to keep a closer eye on them this year.
Also from yesterday’s comments, JP Steve said, "Wasn’t it Carnation that always got their milk from “contented cows?”
Yep, that was Carnation. They sponsored “Burns and Allen” on TV (and I believe on radio, too). I have a few of those TV shows on DVD and just watched them recently.
Go away, Chesney. Let Oliver enjoy the story. If you don’t like it, you can always go to the loading dock. On another note, saw a damselfly, a sparrow, eight robins, a chipmunk, and a raven while out walking today.
Got off the phone with Eldo just now. I asked about him getting back on but he said he’s not going back because he doesn’t want to change. And you know what change that would be…
Please forgive my ignorance as I live in Ireland and a lot of people from American culture are unknown to me. But could you please tell me who Linda Dean is? Thank you ☺ ♥

Remembering Linda “Granny” Dean (Wet & Soggy), today (January 10 1952 – July 12 2014)…
For those of us who remember Linda, we all still miss her.

Thank You, Graham, for honouring Linda with the above comic. And, in light of what is currently happening in our own worlds, a timely message.
For those who did not have the privilege or opportunity to meet Linda here at Ten Cats, you missed “meeting” a lovely lady.

And, what Linda wanted her last words to be to us (this came through from Ruth, whom we also morn), was:

She’s reading the story to Oliver, not to you, Chesney. So why should you care if it’s a weepy-weepy story?

I was wondering how long it would take loudmouth Chesney to butt in and ruin the story for Oliver.

It’s odd if it’s a more realistic story I don’t mind it being sadder, but if it’s a fantasy I don’t like it too be a real downer.
