Be careful Bowser. Have you seen a cat fight? The yowling alone would scare the fleas off a dog, THEN the claws come out ( preferably into your back, with the kitty still attached)…..I’ll quit, I’m scaring myself!
When I was a young boy, I had a paper route. One day a pack of dogs attacked a cat. I tried to break it up, but even I got badly sliced by the cat. Sadly, the cat died.
This is Truffle alright she once swatted the neighbor’s big lab when she was just a kitten. Being a lab with cats at home he was mostly confused but I think the incident as inflated Truffle’s ego when it comes to fights.
A friend of mine was adopted by an old street cat that just walked into their house one day and settled in. Their 20 something son moved back to the area and stayed with them for a while and brought his puppy with him. The dog was less than a year old but was still about 2 or 3 times as large as the cat and one day he decided he wanted to play and tried to get the cat to join him when the cat just wanted to sleep. When the cat was done with the dog he never tried to get the cat to join in with a romp again.
Just run away, Chesney. No amount of chutzpah will prevent you from being pummeled by that vicious dog. on another note, saw a junco, a rabbit, a deer, two robins, two Wilson’s warblers, a damselfly, two ravens, and two spotted towhees while out walking today.

Yeah, Chesney, and you can run away while Bowser waits for two friends to show up.

Chesney has a lot of guts challenging a dog so much bigger than he is. But if he isn’t careful, those guts might end up all over the pavement!
