Foster kitten update: Grayson has just passed her 2 lb mark! She was 2.2 this morning. That means Susan can schedule a spay date for her.Bat (the tiny black one) is still at 14 oz. I don’t understand it She eats like a pig. In fact, she’s very territorial about her wet food. If Grayson tries to eat from her dish at the same time, she’s get’s all growly and will even step into it so Grayson has to back out. So, now I put dishes down for each of them and stand there to make sure both eat their fill. I go this 3 or 4 times a day. She also eats dry food but not a lot because she gets so much wet food. I would try to transition them to dry food only but Susan wants me to continue on this path for now. So, I KNOW Bat is getting plenty of food. Neither has the runs so that’s good. I don’t think she’s gotten any taller, either.
Egad! It was 109 here yesterday. (central Calif) Leaving plenty of water around for the house cats and the feral colonies we care for. Most of the cats just stay in shady areas and sleep. They do that so very well!!
It was a good day to be lazy today. I did water my front yard flowers first thing (before 7 a.m.). But, after church, it was way too hot to do anything outside. Ran the vacuum and then read comics.
Ah, good old lazy days. Days for relaxing .One of the few times Jack and Chesney aren’t being jerks. (Although they’re sort of pushing it by hanging out in the dog park.) On another note, saw three juncos, a spotted towhee, two rabbits, and two robins while out walking today.

Nighty night noon happens for me every day during the summer. I wonder how much time they spent on the loading dock yesterday?

We can learn a lot from cats about energy conservation.

Sleeping all the time sounds boring. I did that when I was younger, depression, now I’m older and I can’t sleep in to save my life. LOL

Fall and winter are the best time for sitting on humans. Spring and summer are the best time for basking in the sun. It’s hard to pick.

I’ve been changing the water outside for the feral cats and birds 4 times a day due to the heat dome over us. It is still 92 out at 7PM.
