I am not qualified to render/ my judgment of their royal splendor/ but the one to the right /(perhaps it’s the light)/is of quite indeterminate gender.

The Visigoths were known for their gaudy jewelry and long hair. The two kings felt it was necessary to uphold this tradition above all others. Oh, and the symbolic long staff, of course.
