As to the small print, that’s why I have a magnifier in my reading glasses and have magnifying glasses all over the house for when I’m not using those glasses.

Not only is there the factor of making the print big enough for seniors to read, but also the factor of making the cups easy enough to open for arthritic senior hands. ;D

That reminds me of my prescriptions. They print the date they are filled so small I need my glasses AND a magnifier. Then they get antsy when I don’t call in to refill on time. Now when I get them I pick up a Sharpie and put the refill date on a part of the label that’s clear of other printing.

They need a QR code on those things. Then your phone can read the instruction out loud AND include the “best by” date. (just threw out two year past “best by” pancake mix! Seniors!…….)

Who needs instructions for microwave Mac and cheese? Just heat until congealed into molten lava consistency, serve immediately.

That’s where the trial and error method comes in, start off cooking for a minute, try some, back in the microwave for another 30 seconds, and repeat until desired results are achieved. Then, if you’re really on the ball, remember the total for next time, less all the stopping and starting.

Sometimes I wonder if the print is getting smaller or my arms are getting shorter.

Not only is the print small, there is less in it these days, but at least the liquid no longer spills over in my microwave…

Thank goodness I learned how to cook at a young age, no instant meals for me when I get old!

Back when we only had 1 language on the stinking label, it was not a problem! If you can’t read English, go away.

That’s a win-win situation, since they’ll have to make package bigger in order to make the print bigger.

Even my reading glasses and magnifying glass don’t help me read directions on some packaging. I have to go to the web site to read them

And not have the instructions on the bottom so you can’t turn it over to reread them…

Thankfully, not all of us seniors have problems reading the small print. My hubby is grateful that I can still read teeny writing and thread a needle.

Some frozen food packaging very cleverly hides the cooking directions. The sme brands also shrink wrap the package so tightly, it takes a surgical kit to open it, “First, we kill all the packaging engineers.” —Shakespeare
