Reminds me of some of the vacations I’ve had. A couple of years ago we celebrated our 30th anniversary by going where we were for our honeymoon, Hawaii. By the time we got to the helicopter tour, we were ready to come home. This year, I am sure things will be a lot different.
Ah, climbing the extension ladder with the wood framed glass paned storm windows and trying to fit the #3 storm window on the #4 window; creeping back down the rungs to do it all over again. A family tradition, best left as scary stories told to grandkids.
We left “the joys of home ownership” behind when we sold our house and started renting. No more climbing up and down ladders, cleaning out leaf gunk, no more having to shell out money for this and that repair, and no more yard work. Now, we just call maintenance when we have a problem, and our yard is done by a yard service. I know we don’t get the tax benefits, and our rent is raised every year, but having much less stress is worth it. No regrets, whatsoever.

I remember taking down the screens and putting up the storm windows – in the 1950s.

We’ve seen you relax at the office. Are we going to have a repeat of the October 28 strip?

The bad part is that he did all of that work at his bosses house.

We all have those days, weekends and even weeks when work is better than being at home. We are all part of that club. He is us…..

Who knew Brutus had it in him. I’ll bet Gladys and perhaps mother Gargle provided the motivation.

It was a hard job for him to watch his wife do the work, but someone had to do it.

Seriously Brutus never gets to have a day off to himself.
