In his dreams, Rancid lives the life of Scrooge putting widows out of their homes in the dead of winter and sending debtors to prison, etc. But in life, all he can do is count his money.
I remember profit sharing; it made a brief appearance in my life before the company figured out a way to rig the books to keep all that money for themselves.
Why does Brutus’ boss confide this info to an ordinary, and especially ill thought of, employee? Evidently, aside from having job security despite being incompetent in the boss’s mind, Brutus is privy to inside information, almost like a confessional. Brutus is the boss’s sidekick, as it were.
Now, along with bags of cash, the Boss has stacks of money on his desk. The stock market must really be really humming along. And. of course, all that money is there to intimidate the employees.
Actually a very good idea on Brutus’s part. Those companies that have employee profit sharing plans have better employee attitudes and work harder as they become part owners, ergo, bigger bottom lines and more money for everybody…….

These days, will opening a new or different account make one more less susceptible to identity thieves and hackers stealing all your money?

Redistribution of funds has a hidden meaning. By letting people go so they don’t have to pay them, the redistribute the funds back to the bosses.

Poor Brutus. It’s so disheartening to get really excited about something, only to have it extinguished almost immediately.

Brutus will be involved in the redistribution of the money, he’s going to carry it down to Veeblefester’s Limo.

Old money families don’t use banks. They own them. :)
