Brutus really painted himself into that corner. I remember a time, when I was probably too old for Santa, that my momma decided my list was too long. So, she let me choose one item from the long list to get from Santa. It was a microscope; one of the best gifts I ever got.
Brutus hit Wilberforce bac quickly – Santa has to spread out his special magic to all those needy children to be fair son. One cannot be too greedy with Santa’s magic or they lose toys. Sharing son is one of Santa’s special gifts and love to all the world.
I’ll bet most people have done what Brutus often does. We think we’re being so clever, but then we’re bested by someone a bit more clever. I hate it when that happens.
Brutus hasn’t lost this one; all he has to do is explain that even magic has limitations. Any TV show or movie featuring magical characters makes that point, so it isn’t hard to illustrate. Magical beings aren’t gods.
And for Wilberforce’s first question, I would have replied with a bit of Hanna-Barbera wisdom. On a Christmas episode of The Flintstones, Fred subbed for Santa and asked one of the elves how they could make all those deliveries in one night. “Easy!” was the reply. “We don’t take coffee breaks!”

Well that backfired. It looks like maybe the born loser gene won’t be passed on to the next generation.
raybarb44 about 3 years ago
That he does my son but even Santa has a limit on how much magic he can use per person just to be fair. Better not push it…….

It seems though there is a high correlation between wealth of parents and the gifts Santa delivers. Santa is an anti-socialist.

Kids! Do you think special magic is free? :)
CrzyDyeman about 3 years ago
Santa is going to have to sell some of his “magic dust” to pay for the extra list.

I think this happens to every parent at some point, not just the Born Losers.
