I have solved with varifocals.

I’ve got glasses all over the house….prescription as well as readers in various strengths. Depending on lighting and distance, I can usually find a pair that works.

Today, Uncle Ted is prepared to go the distance.

I have myopia so the only time I don’t need reading glasses is when I take my contacts out.

I would always think yesterday’s newspaper carries yesterday’s news. This early in the morning, I would think today’s newspaper would be rather blank since most of today’s news hasn’t happened yet!

Its true that nearsightedness improves with age. I can now read my desktop computer screen without glasses, and drive the car with my old computer glasses.

Ah, the plight of getting old. Though l have no idea of what that is of course….

Seems I’m rarely wearing the proper optical correction for whatever task is at hand…

Uncle Ted always goes right to the comics page to read the Born Loser.

I count my blessings, at 65 I still don’t need glasses or readers.

I’d rather be distant from the news actually. :J

And yesterday is still pretty close – so that helps.

He’s also finding he didn’t miss much in the ads…uh…news…

The right glasses make the difference….always!

I tried bifocals once, but I found going down stairs was a nightmare.

He should have placed the newspaper across the room. That always works.

Reading the news is just being a glutton for punishment.

Progressive lenses – one pair of glasses – they also darken for outside.

This is me and no bi or tri focals. . . .

Have Brutus hold it against the far wall. That’ll help you do it without changing.

I wear non-prescription sunglasses when I am outside, except when it’s dark out. They help with migraines. Otherwise, no glasses.

Gracious. I bought computerized glasses. Gives me all three distances without having to change my eye level. Super great. Never going back to Bi focal or tri again. Got ten pair of old glasses at least in my desk drawer just in case I break these. I have ordered another pair already. Wore these 3 months to make sure.

It wasn’t the glasses Uncle Ted. Your arms are just too short.
