Ted Talk: recliners…

I am 21 days away from back fusion surgery. I completely agree with Uncle Ted. I sleep in mine because sleeping in a bed makes my legs not work and hurt for an hour or more. I’m going to sing with Uncle Ted. Nothing could be finer than to wake in my recliner in the morning.The other Uncle Ted is a retired musician too. I like them both.

Uncle Ted should Patent that tune before a furniture company steals it

North Carolina or South Carolina may send Uncle Ted a cease and desist letter. Or is it my honey baby Carolina? Un Huh.

I used to feel that way, but I fell asleep far too often. It made it harder to get to sleep that night.

I try to follow the “Jack Reacher” rule: “Sleep when you can, eat and drink when you can. You never know when you will get another chance”.

then we shall add a blanket… and a pillow. then you will have a bed instead! :D

If l had Aladin’s lamp for only a Day, l’ d make one wish and here’s what I’d say. " Nothing could be finer than to be in my recliner in the morning. Songs were so much better and you could actually sing a long. Not so much today l fear…..

Beautiful. And to that I will add a second verse: “and in the afternoon and evening time, too”. Once again Uncle Ted gets my day started with an “ahhh.”

I’ve never seen a recliner with the handle on the left.

I have a recliner like that. There are times, usually after lunch, that I can’t get up and do all the other things that have to be done.

Just hope no door-to-door salesmen can see in a window and see you. Had one pound on my door after he saw me home. Not only did he not get a sale, but he also probably needed a pickaxe to get rid of the earful I gave him for waking me up on a Saturday afternoon.

Back in the 1970’s, my wife’s OB-GYN would occasionally treat an occasional patient to a variation of that song.
