What does your family manage, Thorny?

It would seem a veiled hint to the fact that Rancid pays him little.

He works for room and board.

If there’s any left Gladys takes control.

Managing a budget in like hearding cats. Off in every direction.

If your income can’t keep up with your outgo, then your upkeep will be your downfall.

A balanced budget that ends in zero cash is better than one unbalanced to the negative.

I hear that Brutus .

Gladys may have to get a job…

Poor Brutus, what little money he makes vanishes as if by magic.

In my early days, it was easy. Pay the bills and buy food with what was left.

can’t manage with it if it’s not there… :}

Been there, done that.

Fair question. Though it always seems like more money is spent and that IS a problem for so many people today especially in the current economy. However, Brutus is the real money earner and as a responsible Dad, the family will do okay in spite of the Boss…..

There’s no money left after Gladys spends it all

Brutus reminds me of the Bible verse, “You have been weighed and found wanting.” Daniel 5:27. Brutus – order another credit card to pay off your old cards and start off with just one credit card balance. Shock and Awe. Holy Toledo! Gladys!

The money is already spent before it even comes in.

There are two types of people. People with budgets and people who are nice to be around.

“What is this money thing and where can I get it?”

Good answer Brutus…..attaboy!

For some reason, I haven’t had any extra money for the past 3 1/2 years. Something changed back then, but can’t quite remember what it was . . .

right?

As we’ve seen, Gladys spends it faster than Brutus makes it.

They both work for the same company. One has a budget to balance, the other has a money pit for a wife.

The money that was mismanaged.

Well, if there’s no money, there’s no money management.

To quote Frank and Ernest at the IRS. “I spent most of it before I got it so it wasn’t really income.”

The wife and the mother-in-law solve his problems.
