Just an observation, you don’t “turn” the rudder. I make observations like this in movies too

“Okay, Chris. Now turn around so I can check your flaps and rudder.”

Wouldn’t the student be in the left-hand seat and the instructor in the right-hand seat?

That would definitely cause a flap!
