A snotty rich grandson of a friend responded their dog was a Sharpay. At the time, after our many decades with three Tibetan breeds, I was clueless, but wanted to smack him anyway.
I found out this morning that there is a dog breed called the XL Bully (seriously). It is an offshoot of the pit bull that has been bred to be larger and more aggressive. It is supposed to be two or three times the size of a pit bull. Hence the XL in the name.

James Thurber talked about a friend who named her dog Terrier Kloshov. He said it was because it sounded Russian. :)
