    Either works but Donder would be how it was written. Donder and Blitzen are Dutch for thunder and lightning.

    Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you for spelling Donder correctly in your comics strip. I absolutely go nuts when I continuously see it spelled “Donner” time and time again. Donner was the name of a group of pioneers who got caught in a blizzard in the Rocky Mountains and ate each other….”The Donner Party.” Donder is German (or Dutch) for Thunder and Blitzen means lightning; hence, they go together. I cannot thank you enough for advancing the cause of the correct spelling of “DONDER” the reindeer. You are my hero!!!!!

    I can’t say that it’s all that big of a deal to me, but I can understand how it’s somebody else’s pet peeve.

    You just never know what’s going to really drive someone else totally batty.
