Ditto the Texas comments, though I wouldn’t limit t to just the west part of the state. I also want to toss eastern Colorado into the mix – it makes Nebraska seem exciting.
We went from California to Florida on back roads – no freeways. Mostly very interesting – even Texas. Interesting how every little town has their own claim to fame.
Interesting to note most comments refer to traveling the interstates. If you are really interested in seeing America, you need to take at least some of the old US highways and state roads!
It will take a little bit longer, but it is usually a lot more interesting. Of course, there are some areas where even Warp Speed is not fast enough…
