Believe it not, people actually send messages in bottles through the U.S. Mail. I worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 25 years. I can’t remember where, but some Caribbean resorts have plastic bottles they sell to mail letters back home while on vacation. I’ve seen rocks, coconuts and inflated balloons sent through the mail with no packaging.
