I’ve seen the claws on bears paws. There can be no shoes that are meant to keep those in.

I hope my shoes last until the current “clod hopper” phase is over.

Does that mean he’s a dope for buying them? And, curiously, most shoes are made with laces. Why bother. Many people don’t even tie them.
