trump’s hook was, “I’m a winner and all you losers can win too if you follow my lead.” So the losers piled on. Then, while constantly losing, he said “see how I’m winning all the time?” and the losers think “but if this is winning, I’ve been winning all along!” and “follow the leader” turns into “follow the liar”.

It’s not hard to lead losers, I suppose. I’ve never considered sinking that low ever.

In 1788 upon our U.S. Constitution being ratified into Law, George Washington was unanimously elected president twice. There were those who called for him to be king, the dictator of the day, the permanent head of state. Of course We all know that Washington refused, citing having fought against such things, it made no sense, and that two terms were enough for any leader of this Nation.

But since our birth as a Nation, since our Founders established self government, we’ve always had those who would give up their rights for some demigod with a smooth line. We were fortunate to have Washington at the time, who could be trusted not to use it. In tRump we have one who cannot be trusted at all.
