The Cave Walls gag is sort of an archetypally-perfect and multi-layered creation. And on top of that, “Ruben Bolling” is an anagram of “Gluon nibbler”.

I am so sick and tired of that Nicole Kidman thing in theaters before the movie starts.

Nice to see that Kidman is looking at “Ah, Life.”

Yeah yeah "Give a man (or a kid) a fish blah blah, teach a man blah blah… POLLUTE the stream & make an OBSCENE PROFIT doing so & then BLAME the POOR S O B for not catching fish (‘cause there ain’t any): that’s SUPPLY SIDE (or TRICKLE DOWN ) ECONOMICS!!! (Thanks Reagan, Bush I & II, Orange Man…)

I can’t help but think of the old “Ruff and Reddy” cartoons that I watched as a kid. I’ll never get their theme song out of my head. But in that cartoon, Ruff was the cat and Reddy was the dog. (Now I can’t remember what I did a few days ago.)

Reuben has become the modern master of the famous “flip take” gag, a proud old tradition from way back in the 20s.
