Mom’s mad. Mad women do mad things. Mad things are what got Wallace in this situation. Mad mom, mad.

What on earth is Sterling doing. The fact that they allow that “child” free rein to move around the house is astounding.

I can’t figure out the lumpy thing in the bottom left of panel 2 – looks like a starry bean bag chair with an antenna..?

No trying to parachute off the top bunk with a pillow case.

Spud: Ask for Wallace’s deserts. Best not to waste them, right?

Maybe a better punishment would be to tell Wallace to fish for his pair of shoes. No, not fishing for the thrown shoes, are you crazy? I mean, his dad is a fisherman, let Wallace learn to fish and bring some fishies and pay for whatever shoes he wants to wear and throw away (but not into the bay, so that Greta Thunberg doesn’t get mad and make a guest appearance here.)

I was the final of five kids. Oldest brother says he was grounded more times than he can remember, Second brother says same thing. Middle Brother says maybe a half dozen times, 4th in line sister says she was grounded twice. I never got grounded once. I asked my parents if I was the best behaved. No! But, they didn’t want to deal with enforcing grounding by the time I came along. To bad for Wallace he is the oldest and his mom isn’t worn out yet.

Mom is getting notched down a bit in my estimation. Yes he should have obeyed her but really what was the harm? The shoes were shot. This type of discipline needs to be reserved for when someone was thoughtless and might hurt themselves or others. Give him some extra chores to do. FREE WALLACE!
