Somewhere Ogre the Rainbow…

Wallace, ask Sterling if Mrs. Palmer is an ogre. He has probably frequented Sub Snug and been bitten by her bats.

When Wallace is close to going too far, Mom keeps him from falling over the edge.

Most places have cat ladies and many have bat boys, but Snug Harbor has a bat lady!

Also, mixing it up today with having Spud drop this theory—normally this is the sort of thing Wallace would be coming up with.

Love how the caverns have little flags scattered around the place, just like Snug Harbor above it.

I love how Will communicates the tone and volume of voice from the font. I can almost literally hear Wallace’s mom softly stating his name over his yell.

fun fact: there was a guy named emilio PALMA. first guy to be born in antarctica. a guy lost 571,620 dollars for not knowing dat.

Is Sub Snug a club? Does it have a dress code?

We always referred to my dad as “The Ogre”. He was a sweetheart but for some reason people outside of the family were intimidated by him.

Gotta be careful what you tell children. Of course, if you’re a child yourself, that’s a different matter.

Now I remember who Mrs. Palmer reminds me of – some of the characters that were created by the great British cartoonist Giles. Mrs. Palmer has a resemblance to his iconic Grandma, but the eyes behind the glasses look more like those of Auntie Vera’s perpetually anxious baby.

Mom was dealing with the merchant but always with an ear on Spud and W.
