This is the 1st Father’s Day I have observed without my father. It’s been a sad day of remembrance for me. For he was my father, best friend, my mentor and a model of a father. I know I’ll never live up to what he was. He tought me so well and a lot of who I am is because of him. I wished I had paid more attention to his advice I would not have made so many mistakes. I know there is no texting in heaven but I think he my know what I would like to say. “Dad I love you and miss you so bad. Thank you for your godly life and example to me. I hope that when my life is over, that a little of you is seen in my life and my children. I’ll see you one day and I’ll tell you this again face to face.”

Well, It’s friendlier than the “You’ll go to hell” meme that was de rigueur when I was a kid. . .

We blame God when things go wrong but do not give Him credit for things that go right and are miraculous.

I don’t think the perspective came out right in that picture, or the priest is truly enormous.

Reminds me of all the people boarding a space ship in The Twilight Zone until they realize the book, To Serve Humans , was a cook book.
