As others have said, when dealing with some people it pays to be specific. A long time ago I went to meet some friends at a hotel bar. The hotel had a doorman there checking IDs and he asked to see my ID. I, being the smart-ass I can sometimes be, showed him one of my work IDs that didn’t have a picture. He asked “What’s this?” I told him that it was my work ID, that it allowed me up in the tower to control airplanes. He said “A policeman stops you and asks to see your ID you show him this?” I told him “Yes. But he always asks to see my driver’s license.” After I show him my license he tells me “Next time I ask for ID you show me this (my license)!” I said “Next time you want to see my Driver License ask for it!”

My favorite Dungeon Master loved to pick on people who wanted to “Make a wish”. They have to be VERY carful how they worded it!

I foresee a bunch of loonytoon castle gags with drawbridges slamming down on the head Hun. And things like that.

When dealing with Elves, Genies and Teenagers one must be careful with their words.

Whats the Magic Word ?

It’s the design of the door. Rounded at the top, making it unstable as a drawbridge.

Okay, that’s just funny. I don’t care who you are. “Ask and yea shall receive”, EXACTLY what you asked for. There’s a lesson in that.

This hinges on using the right word.

Pedantic here, it doesn’t form a bridge if it opens left to right.

I want a drawbridge, do you know what a drawbridge costs? That’s why I don’t have one.
