What a great tribute to a terrific actor. I’m impressed with the way you’ve had it posted so quickly. Bowie’s as well. Kudos!

I’m duly impressed that you managed to draw up two separate tributes in the same week, and that they got published in such a short time.

I will miss him. He was so deliciously evil in Robin Hood. He made Harry Potter, & Galaxy Quest portrayed his wonderful satirical abilities! Very great actor. His voice was just fabulous!

Nice, gentlemen. Nice! Mr. Rickman will be missed. I have not seen any of the Harry Potter movies (gasp!), but I enjoyed the villains he portrayed in other movies.

I have to admit when Scott brought up this idea my first reaction was “he wasn’t as Legendary as Bowie…” but after reflecting on his body of work only then did I see how great it was. He will be missed.

@davinort2000 – and if you look at yesterday’s strip, you know it was also freshly done because Jay and Ed are still in Bowie costume.

He excellently portrayed villains in “Quigley Down Under,” and in “Die Hard.”

I was thinking of the line in HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SCRETS, where Rowling says “Snape looked as if Christmas had been cancelled.” Of course, it’s not Alan Rickman when it’s from the book- but he’s become so identified with the role, that it could be an oblique reference.

Thank you, fellows, for the tribute to an actor who will indeed be greatly missed.…And I must give the Dragoncat Award to Maizing for his thorough explanation to the doe’s connection to Alan Rickman. I must confess I didn’t fully understand it, either.…I liked it. I just didn’t fully understand it.

A movie I enjoyed that is never mentioned is his portrayal of Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility with Emma Thompson and Hugh Grant. It was a very sensitive performance. Great tribute, guys!

Wonderful tribute to Mr. Rickman and if you are a Harry Potter fan then you certainly understand the reference. After Die Hard and Quiqley Down Under, he brought a whole new appreciation of villian actors.

I greatly admired Rickman, but I felt bad to think the great Bob Hoskins didn’t get a fraction of the coverage of Rickman’s death.
