I am constantly amazed by how quickly the creative team here is able to create and post comics honouring those who pass away.

I liked René. Met him a few times at the Big Apple Con in NYC. He was very friendly and outgoing, and each time he saw me he remembered me and greeted me enthusiastically, by name. I did some drawings for him, including a caricature. Even seeing him only those few times, he had a way of making one feel like old friends.

I was just watching him in the 1976 King Kong Saturday, I have a pic of him as Odo in my office that reads “You have to be flexible to be security chief.” Farewell Rene.

He was good. One of those people that I recognized in almost everything he did – before I read the credits. R.I.P.
