Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Yesterday, I got five e-mails about COVID-19 from IHoP, Family Video, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Healthy Life, The Henry Ford, Petco, and Cottage Inn Pizza. I’m waiting for word that all Disney theme parks will be quarantined.
“But, Dad, I don’t wanna ride Small World again!”
I had an attack of some virus a couple of weeks ago. I went to the doctor and he said, “virus, stay home for a couple of days so you don’t pass it on.”
So I did.
Got my paycheck yesterday and my boss: a) confirmed that I was entitled to sick leave; and b) docked my pay for not “making up sick days” by working on my days off after I got well.
William Shatner had to use fishing line to tie his fingers together so he could make the Vulcan salute (greeting). I prefer it to elbow bumps but a lot of people don’t recognize it. How could they not?
Thank you – I needed the levity of this today. Especially the advice about spending less time on social media. That could almost be extended to regular media as well, given some of the conflicting advice being issued because their timing isn’t in sync! In this 24 hour News Media world, stick to watching it just once, when, hopefully, you’ll get a concise, consistent message!
Well said on all points! We will get through this, like we have with past common cold and flu outbreaks. It is nowhere near as devastating as the Spanish Flu from 100 years ago.
Great book by John M. Barry, THE GREAT INFLUENZA, about why the spread of the 1918 pandemic failed to be stopped. Let’s hope public health and government have learned from that and have better plans in place today.
At church we are just waving at people to greet them. From across the sanctuary. Kind of glad, now, that we are a small congregation in a big church. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out.
If I tested positive and was due to meet certain politicians I go come hell or high water, testing negative probably skip it ;) /s to avoid Poe’s law (I’d actually try an avoid them at all costs ill or not)
Well done and succinct… for something a bit more in depth I would recommend reading https://arstechnica.com/science/2020/03/dont-panic-the-comprehensive-ars-technica-guide-to-the-coronavirus/ which gets updated daily (for now).

Some day will (hopefully) see this in repeats and think to ourselves humanity managed to survive another crisis…and smile.

Sensible words. Let’s go with them.

Good common sense. First line should read, “the vast majority of people … have gotten better.” Stronger, more positive.

Please share this comic today. Very common sense! Now if we could get everyone to read and follow this.

Does twirling your mustache count as touching your face?

We’ve been elbow-bumping at work, I think I’ll shock some folks with the Vulcan salute!

Can Rita catch COVID-19 from an email attachment?
Seems like if anyone could, it would be her!

It’s funny how your face itches so much when you’re trying hard to not scratch!

I’ve received quite a few e-mails about this virus, but this message is by far the best I’ve ever read.
Thank you for this.

OH, WAIT!!! You forgot about hand wipes, hand sanitizers and toilet wipes. It’s good to keep those handy, too.

Agreed. And remember that panic will cause more problems we don’t need…

Good ideas all. We need to help flatten the curve. And being loners is now a necessity! But I do that already. Its a COVID19 world after all…
