Where is Sgt. Joe Friday, now that we really need him?

My lead Sgt. ,when I was a street officer, demanded every report contain “the dubs” “The H” and “the $”.

And several cable networks built very successful businesses on that model.

And what is sadder is that line between opinion and fact has become quite blurred.

Opinions are like a**holes everyone’s stinks but your own

Ed is smarter than he looks. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, not that the opinion is right. That is why it is an opinion, not a fact.

Because facts have an annoying tendency to tell us that we are wrong

Unfortunately true.

Nothing new here. My father (I’m 66) never let facts get in the way of a good opinion.

I remember hearing “My mind is made up, don’t confuse me with facts!”
