I don’t know guys… in the movie one of the first ones to touch it then used a bone to kill another one. But what would Rita do? I’m guessing she would go hug it.

We’ve been warned, but we launched The Europa Clipper anyway.

Rita asked R & D to make her a really big cellphone; now they’re working on a battery powerful enough to operate it.

I dunno, you got “it’s” and “its” right. Baby steps?

At the top, Zakour’s name is spelled without the U

Because they’re all enlightened or because they’re all unteachable?

Is it really a monolith? After all, the lith part of monlith means stone. Doubtful that such a device would be made of stone.

Time to consult the dictionary!

Monolith: noun

1) an obelisk, column, large statue, etc., formed of a single block of stone.

2) a single block or piece of stone of considerable size, especially when used in architecture or sculpture.

3) something having a uniform, massive, redoubtable, or inflexible quality or character.

Hmm, scratch 1 and 2. Let’s look up redoubtable

redoubtable: adjective

1) that is to be feared; formidable.2) commanding or evoking respect, reverence, or the like.

Considering the initial and later reactions of the hominids to the monolith (as seen in the movie), they went from 1 to 2 on redoubtable.

So definition 3 for monolith says it is a monolith!

I’m surprised @ScottRoberts didn’t jump into the comments this time.

Forget the obelisk, those cars in the back ground are freaking large and the yellow stripe at the right is at the wrong angle for the parking lot and heading towards the building.

I think Jay hit it on the nail. No raising of the human conscience or the human race going to occur at MMM. And look, Ed has a bone in front of him – nothing going to happen if he has control of it.
