Harold Lloyd, a famous silent movie comedian, wore fake glasses, really just the frames, while in front of the camera. Off set he went without and nobody recognized him. Schuster and Siegal used that True Fact in the writing and illustrating the adventures of their most famous creation. Once he put on his glasses everyone thought he was Clark Kent.
I had to get prescription safety glasses for an upcoming refueling outage at a nuclear plant. There were delays and they finally arrived a day before the outage started. But someone wrote down the wrong number for the frames and I ended up with Harry Potter glasses with no time to reorder.

Going by internet definitions, the only men’s glasses that aren’t “serial killer” are Harry Potter style.
