I have this problem in my car. I listen from a USB drive and it has a couple Christmas albums on it, so I periodically hear Christmas music. I often enjoy it, because the message is important, no matter the time of year. :)
I never use shuffle, although I see SHAMINO uses shuffle by album, I typically listen to my music like the old days, as an album. I didn’t know about shuffle by album and may use that now.
In Myrtle Beach SC there were several Christmas shops operating year-round. On a July vacation trip it seemed quite odd inside. Christmas trees & decorations everywhere, with people walking around in swimsuits & bare feet, & outside it was 90 degrees & sunny.

For people on a blistering day in southwest or deep south USA, “cool” music might be a good thing!

These smart phones know that Christmas in July is coming.

These days, my iPod is set to “shuffle by album”, so a run like that would not be surprising if it shuffled into a Christmas album.
I personally like the irony of out-of-season music. I also like to play 70’s surfing music during snow storms.

There are no uptempo sleigh bells in classical baroque Christmas masses.

I’d be happy to tell you the odds, but first you have to tell me how many tracks are in your system and how many of them are holiday related.

With earlier every year, it won’t be long until the stores start playing that music, & start stocking Christmas items in their stores.

I stopped using shuffle when I got a rap song after Mozart.

ITuneys and Apple TV have the worst “shuffle,” especially in combination. For that matter, their “play” functions aren’t so hot, either.

CDs in my 200 disk changer are grouped by genre. I can shuffle within groups.

I have different playlists for different times and situations. I don’t load the Holiday ones until November and they come off Jan 1.
