Zoe never seemed like A+ material to me.

I LOVED the shadow that lower expectations provided! So much less sunburn!

We never hung up our daughters’ good papers. We rent our apartment & it doesn’t allow wallpapering. LOL Seriously, tho, I have what I call “Folders of Awesomeness” for each of them, holding their certificates, awards, concert programs, & such. For the girls, saying that I’m putting something is the “Folder of Awesomeness” made them as happy as hanging something on the ’fridge does for other kids.

Maybe Hammie should take school a bit more seriously

Hammie used to BE smart. Then they dumbed him down.

I sense a longstanding undercurrent in some American comic strips and cartoons: wisecracking kid but he’s an underachiever; smart girl and she shines in school. It wasn’t always the case.
