We never hung up our daughters’ good papers. We rent our apartment & it doesn’t allow wallpapering. LOL Seriously, tho, I have what I call “Folders of Awesomeness” for each of them, holding their certificates, awards, concert programs, & such. For the girls, saying that I’m putting something is the “Folder of Awesomeness” made them as happy as hanging something on the ’fridge does for other kids.
I sense a longstanding undercurrent in some American comic strips and cartoons: wisecracking kid but he’s an underachiever; smart girl and she shines in school. It wasn’t always the case.
