I remember speaking with a man who was the “promoter” when the WWE would come to Miami, FL. He mentioned the late George “The Animal” Steele whose gimmick was that of a “mindless brute” would bring with him the works of William Shakespeare to enjoy. In a former life he taught high school English before gettin in the wrestling business.
This reminds me of a 1980s DC comic book where the Guardians of the Universe’s home world , in their pre-Guardian days, had a plague where the two genders couldn’t have physical contact, and had to, for a time reproduce in alternative ways.
R&J is next up on my third time through the Canon, this time reading aloud, preferably with friends. Need to figure out if Facebook Rooms will work for that, and when the usual gang and another friend who particularly wanted to read it with us are available.

Baldo read? Not just Shakespeare, but anything in general that isn’t a car magazine? Has he lost his mind?

If they were in my generation, I’d be mildly surprise that she didn’t recognize the quote, even being Hispanic.
But I wonder how many student’s of today’s generation, in any public school, get exposed to any Shakespeare.
