Well, that and the fact that he insists on being surrounded by it at all times.

Arthur has been a few tiles short of a roof since his last attack of shingles.

He seems to reside in a nice neighborhood. We are being surrounded by flat-roofed boxes.

The peg on the one on the chair back denotes a particular care taken in their display.

Kinda stuck on red there, Arthur. Otherwise, there are several types you don’t have yet.

Arthur: Roof, roof, roof, roof, roof, roof

the dog: bark, bark, bark, bark!

Arthur did always want to keep on top of things

He does seem to have a case of shingles, though…

His wife Amelia collects doors. The Ballard Sewing and Pumping Iron Circle dropped her membership a long time ago.

The constant slamming got on our nerves. We all developed a flinch…

Flinches aren’t good when you’re pumping iron. Welts and concussions abounded.

Not to mention needles being stuck in inconvenient places.

Looks like this old world’s got him down and people are just too much for him to face (up on the roof).

I think it all started because their last name is Gable.

Good thing it isn’t Sellers or he might be collecting miniature basements…

They wouldn’t look half as pretty in that glass-doored cabinet he built for his collection.

And I hate to think what he’d collect if it were Johns.

    Or even Plummer.

More accurately explaining his diminished social sphere, it’s not the size of one’s roof collection, but what one does with it that counts.

Perhaps his social sphere is diminished by the placement of the collection… if you thought Legos were painful to step on…

When Arthur constant fidgeting with his miniature collection of roofs gained him the title of Ballard Street Fiddler On The Roof.

What style of humor is this? I’m guessing surrealism, but maybe it’s something else? Anyway, I find it amusing.
