fed to the masses, not always easily digestible

Or totally ignored, the same way one notes dog poop on the street and tries to avoid it.

The media does not make money off reporting the news. They make money off exciting people into watching and driving ratings. STAY TUNED to find out if it snow in Miami this weekend! Both Fox and CNN and the rest are the same, jut catering to different crowds of morons.

I guess we all get the “end results”.

The bottom line… facts aren’t facts, go with your gut reaction.

I think of it as facts go in one end and farts come out the other.

Reporters have always sought out people who make noise. In the process they amplify the noise and push aside common sense. In Flagstaff our city council is resonating the whole “demon soda straw” thing, looking into ways to penalize those who distribute or use plastic soda straws because the straws are not biodegradable and pollute the oceans. Yet we actually throw soda straws into our main trash stream, which goes to the landfill north of town. Here the straws and all non-recyclables are covered with non-biodegradable dirt and rock, nearly a thousand miles and 7000 feet above the nearest ocean. The noise has never helped anybody. (Personal glimpse: my Granddaddy Jean, Jean Vincenz, is often credited with designing the modern sanitary landfill when he worked in Sanitation in Sacramento, CA.)
