Do you get to choose which state you get in an estate sale?

I was just watching a repeat of a Three’s Company episode (1979) where Janet says to Jack that they should hold a garage sale because the Ropers moved away and they want to raise money for a farewell party. To which Krissy says, “Why would I want to buy a garage? I don’t even own a car.” Ahh, those old garage sale jokes are timeless!

Absolutely the BEST real estate saying? “GET LOTS WHILE YOU’RE YOUNG!” ( Note: No apostrophe between the ‘T’ and the ‘S’ in LOTS!) So, is it about real estate, or about S*X?

If each piece sold was 3 feet by 3 feet, it could be a “Square Yard Yard Sale”.

Some people buy sod instead of planting grass seed and waiting because they can’t defer grassification.

What surprises me is that in the UK they have “boot” sales, but not “welly” sales.

I bought the better part of a lawn once. They delivered it and all I had to do was roll it out and suddenly, I needed a lawn mower. …damn.

I lived near a sod farm years ago and one summer they tried a humorous approach putting up a billboard that said HUGE YARD SALE! …they said they dealt with a lot of very confused customers and never did that again. ( i told them I thought it was funny)

Been a standard joke with a friend of mine for years, whenever we see a “yard sale” sign, we have to ask the question the other one: “Do you need a yard?”

Oh, is that what happened to my yard? No, it is due to years of beloved canines! My backyard has, quite literally, gone to the dogs! Also, since I live in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and my son the fish biologist did a summer internship researching the “health” of the Bay umpteen years ago, and learned how the dead zones were increasing at that time, he convinced me to stop using my commercial lawn service. Such lawn services and their chemicals used by homeowners in the the watershed add a significant amount to the demise of the ecosystem of the Chesapeake Bay.
