They made a mistake a week before Xmas and left 3 packages on my porch with an incorrect address for someone who doesn’t live in my complex. Dumb driver decided my unit # was close enough! Amazon said to keep whatever it was and they would contact the buyer to resend. It was all kids toys which we donated to a toy drive!
I got a text message yesterday that said “The package has arrived at the warehouse, but cannot be delivered because it doesn’t have your address on it. Please confirm your address at the link below.” So… no information about the package or warehouse, and they don’t know my address, but they know my cell phone number. Does anybody fall for this?
Most of the time its the USPS that delivers the Amazon packages to my neighbors because the address number is very close to mine I even have my last name on my mailbox for that reason and they still get it wrong some times.
The bigger they get, the more chances of misdirected delivery. But same is happening to our local post office distribution center. Some days it looks like we get mail delivered even though the address info isn’t even close to ours. Wonder if the carrier took the wrong truck.
Used the delivery photo to track down two packages that had been left at apartment 117 instead of 112. Luckily, no problems picking them up and taking them home with me.
This apartment complex has installed the parcel bins like Amazon uses. My biggest complaint is having to walk across the street to pick up my packages instead of just opening my front door. But my second gripe is getting there, opening the bin and finding a package for someone else. But the best was the day I went to pick up a package, got the bin open and it was empty. Either my package went in the wrong bin or the driver got back with at least one extra, undelivered package.
Love it. I got a text thanking me for my order for $545.45 and would I please call the number below if I had any questions. I wonder how many people got that text, flew into a panic and actually called that number.
I had a package delivered to my house, but before I was able to go get in the worst part of winter, I got a call from a neighbor who told me I had a package on my porch, and said it belonged to them, and would I take it to them? I did. And another time, too. Our addresses are unalike.

Are you sure that it was Amazon who made the mistake? Did you check your order before hitting “purchase”?

It’s not that the drivers don’t exercise common sense, it’s just that they have delivered a lot weirder packages to places.
