With the exceptions of Bob Dylan and King Crimson, I stopped going to rock concerts about 20 years ago. Got tired of being surrounded by stupid noisy drunks who have zero interest in listening to the music.
If judging by my own degrading tolerance towards selfish lout that can be seen at present whenever something opens, I doubt I will stand them when public places are open to the masses once more. They will very possibly be no more considerate than they were but be even more obnoxious and self-privileging and in serious need of being educated about manners.
Miss the out of focus movies? Egregiously loud volume? The second mortgage to buy popcorn, all of the people that can’t resist checking their phones in a dark theatre?
My parents haven’t stepped inside a movie theater for over 30 years. When I asked them if they missed the ambiance and thrill of seeing a movie on a big screen, my dad replied with, “What I don’t miss is paying out the nose for a ticket and even more for concessions!! I’m happy watching movies at home”.

I doubt it. People seem to have gotten more surly in the past year.

No, they won’t. Viruses may change, but people don’t.

People haven’t changed and I didn’t expect that they would.

For a good laugh, see how sociologists are arguing about how to measure if this true or not.

It seems to have started way back in October 2006.

I miss the sound in the theater being so loud that I have to wear ear plugs.

When an introvert like I am is ready to get out & be around people, it’s bad.
