If i could be granted one wish. It would be that dogs and cats could live longer.

The short life span of our precious fur families totally sucks….

I swear one of my dogs years ago made me promise to always have a dog to take care of me. I have never let her down and she was one of a kind that I will never find again, but I have no complaints about any dogs I have had since. I just tell myself that dogs have shorter lives so we can love more of them. It sort of helps. My current dog is showing some aging, and it makes me sad. But dogs accept it as normal.

A pet’s death is just the smallest part of your experience together. Live with it.

We have a 16 year old cat. He’s not in good shape. We lost his co-cat a couple of years ago. She was 16.

You’re a dog. You must obey me on this.

But I will, and after I do, go ahead and pee on my grave.

If only that could happen….

My kitty has been declining for a long time. Last week I thought it was time to let him go, but he was not ready. I set another appointment this week, but he is still not ready although close. He reminds me of the old man in Monty Python’s holy grail.

I wish. :(

“Gee, nice to know I’m immortal. Guess I’ll go play in traffic now.”

“There can be only one!”

And the dog thinks, “Then why are we buying the small bags of food?”

Our maltipoo just turned 16years old two months ago…definitely has slowed down, but when either of the (now 20+ year old) boys show up, you’d think he was still a puppy!!!

I say those very words to my little guy every day!
