This is one of my fav strips. It would have been funny if the can had the sunglasses as well, since his hat, tie and shoes stayed when he transformed into his true inner essence.
Dandelions are one of my most favorite wildflowers.
Actually, eating dandelion greens when they first appear in Spring is quite healthy. They’re high in vitamin C and were long considered a tonic for incipient scurvy after living through the winter on salt pork & hardtack. Hence, their Latin name Taraxacum officinale, which, loosely translated, means “medicinal herb.” By the time they’ve gone to seed, forget it. They’ll taste nasty.
The common name “dandelion” comes from the French dent de lion, or “lion’s tooth”, in reference to the plant’s jagged-edged leaves which at one time were thought to look like the tooth of a lion.
I had forgotten this strip. Since I was reading via my phone, I had to zoom in on panels. This allowed me to only see one at a time (kind of like BB’s IG feed) and I almost expected him to remain unchanged as he IS the worst version of himself.

I bet the key is missing, too. (Hopefully, I won’t have to explain that)

The fact that he has a little red hat on was an eerily accurate premonition by Mr Breathed. Either that or just retroactively funny dumb luck.

You’re supposed to eat them BEFORE they go to seed.
