Good morning Mega Orb! Remembering Witcheeminx & her orbabies, Font Lady & hubby, Brien43, HappyHappyHappy, and her friend who lost Cadbury! Also, any others who need prayers, kind thoughts, friendship & love! Hope your days dawn brighter! You are safe in the Mega Orb. You are loved and lifted! I ask blessings on each one of you! >^.,.^<
Dear Orbsters! I wish to apologize for any spoilers I’ve given in the past. Since I have made at least one person quite angry, I will try to no longer post about the daily strips in an effort to appease this person and any others I’ve upset. I never had any idea it was so disturbing. Again, I am sorry! >^.,.^<
Horray for Tommy and his Woman and their new leash on life! Another of my most favourite lines from BCN. Hello all my wonderful fellow BCN Mega Orbsters! I wish you all a fantabulous Friday! I’m moving house today so I won’t be able to comment as much as I usually would—I shall miss all the other marvelous comments that’ll happen later today. Also we won’t have internet for a little while at the new house, so if I’m a bit quiet these days, you’ll know why. (( ((huge engulfing bear hugs to all)) ))
I have had only one cat who did well with a harness and leash. One lovely summer evening we were sitting out on the front stoop with Muff on her long lead when the phone rang ( yes, this is a tale of long long ago when you answered a stationary phone plugged into the wall ). When I came back outside, she had climbed a, luckily short, tree and had wound around in the branches until she ran out of lead. There she was, hanging from a limb by her harness looking like a stranded parachutist and complaining loudly. Thank goodness it was a harness and not just a collar! I unhooked her from the lead, took her back inside with a few consolatory treats and then hauled out the ladder to unlace the lead from the tree. In retrospect it is funny, but the moral is don’t leave a cat on a lead unattended. Tommy looks like he will give his Woman no problems tho so….Go Tommy !
Great plug for microchips too. Our dogs have had chips for years but since our cats have always been indoor cats we had not chipped them. Then we got our two newest boys and realized that while they were young and fast we were old and slow. So as a precaution in case of an attack of wanderlust, we got them chips.
Remember when getting chips for your pets, you have to update them when you move. It is as simple as going to the computer and updating it on the website. That way you will be able to keep track of any stray Tommys. You can also put information like medications or conditions your pet has, so any vet who scans it knows if your pet needs treatment for something before they find you. :)
I like the way that Ms Dunn has fleshed out these stories in her “syndication reboot” of this strip. We older fans are familiar with the events of the stories, but find them just as fresh and enjoyable with the extra details.
I used to go walking with my cat “Johnny Depp”, quiet neighborhood, no leash. After an injury he had to wear the dreaded cone, so I put him on a leash. The first time a garbage truck went by, he jumped for the bushes. He would have dislocated my shoulder if the old leather leash had not snapped. Two minutes later, he came out of the bushes and we resumed our walk, sans leash.
I am in the process of catching up on the entire series. I love Tommy’s storyline, and I am ecstatic that he now has a chip. When my beloved Caramel went missing for three weeks, that is how I got her back. I cried the first time I read his story, and cried again when it was repeated. I love this strip.

“Nope, we own it.” One of the best lines so far! It’s not a lease, we own it, paid for even!

This has always been one of my favorites. Occasionally I’ll see a happy dog out on a walk and “Nope, we own it!” will pop into my head.

Tommy’s new collar appears to be a bowtie and a snazzy harness.
