Love the password! You’d better be careful, Lupin, Elvis can only be pushed so far before the swatting comes out and he’s been hopping around for a while now…
I have another survey question. I am wondering how many new people have had the will power (or many just not found the time) to not go back and read all the past reports? For those who have read them how many times have you read them?
I don’t know the exact number. I read all the strips shortly after I found BCN, which in 2014 wasn’t so many. Then during the baby break in 2015 I reread all the strips along with the comments on the original site. BCN was already on GoComis at that time, but I am not sure when I discovered that. I might have seen it on my GoComis email (I almost never went to the website back the) or read about it in the comments on the original BCN site. But at some point I added the strip to my list that is emailed to me. During the move/getting ready for the newspaper break i went bac to the beginning on GoComics and I read them again reading the comment here, plus during that time GoComics was rerunning the strips which I was also reading.
With two kicking cats and two cookie jar browsing dogs, I sometimes have a floor that looks like a beach. So I keep a small shop vac handy; much easier to empty than any other vac. None of our cats have ever liked a covered box. I think because they like to be aware of their surroundings and don’t want to feel trapped. As Lupin demonstrates, a covered box doesn’t even help with litter containment. Lupin obviously went invisible to foil poor Elvis as the box top is white. Elvis in meltdown mode, poor baby.
Dear BCN Orbsters ( and I am grateful to have been included in your warm and fuzzy BCN world) I am going to go off topic a bit. Today, I am picking up my foster dog! Yes! I am fostering a poor, homeless doggie who is looking to be adopted. As this is Breaking CAT News, I would like to mention that there are lots of homeless kitties that could really use a temporary home while waiting for there FURever Family. If you have the time and a bit of space in your home and heart, please consider fostering. It does as much for you as it does for the animal. Thank you Orbsters! I will keep you posted! <3 <3
Beloved orbsters & honored Orb Leader, Georgia! Warm wishes for a delightful Caturday! I hope you have fun, friendship, joy, love & happiness abounding!
Those we’ve been holding up, Font Lady & Marc, Witcheeminx, Nick, Holly, Sis, Olive O’Sudden, Burk 129520’s BF’s dad, Muffi, Happy (x3), Barney, Meowlin, and anyone I’ve missed (please refresh my spotty memory!), very gentle orb bumps of hope, healing & support coming your way! My love to all of you! Blessings! (((((>^.,.^<))))) ((((( Lady, Bri, I LOVE the hugs signs! :-D)))))
. . . “MURDER”, used in such times, remind me of a record that my mother owns. Many may be too young to remember this song, though it is one of my favorites. Enjoy! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pz7dZ9Q3K-E
I discovered BCN a few months ago when my new job required going through the newspaper every day for relevant news … of course I checked out the comics to ensure thoroughness. BCN has become a moment of whimsy and grace (even when Lupin kicks out the litter) in an otherwise chaotic and disturbing world. Yes, I’ve bought the book, gone back to read past reports and emailed especially meaningful strips to colleagues at work. Thanks, Georgia.
The last panel shows a cat who has been pushed to the edge. To the brink. To the breaking – or boiling – point. Methinks Elvis is justified in doing anything now.
Thanks for the shutdown good wishes, everyone. The folks I really worry about are the myriad of small D.C. businesses which exist almost solely to service Feds in D.C….dry cleaners, lunch places,, etc. In the past we civil servants have always been paid, but those folks cannot recover the lost business. In my particular case I am wrestling with some huge tax policy shifts which need to be sorted out…but if this furlough continues to Monday am legally barred from working on them as a volunteer. The offices are locked down, our computer access is suspended.

And of course Lupin gets there first :) And why must they kick half the litter out?
Poor Elvis, so close … Plus great name placement by Georgia today, don’t know how she does that in such tiny panels

“What’s the password?”
“Let me in or I’m going to make a silent, smelly protest at the door.”
“Nooo, THAT’S not it!”

Aha! Lupin did get into the boxsh first! I wondered, when he wasn’t depicted yesterday.
He better watch out… Poor Elvis had called dibs and is not amused at his antics!

Look at Elvis’s back feet. The Claws are out.

Poor Elvis! Lupin, methinks you picked the wrong time to mess and play with Elvis.

I am quite surprised that Elvis did not make it in first. And now the litter will be low… the comfort will not be optimum for his constitutional.

Lupin, this is not the time to think outside the box!

Only one box for three cats? They’re lucky that hasn’t led to “thinking outside the box”, if you know what I mean.
Nuliajuk almost 7 years ago
Oh, and what is it about male cats that they want to hurl the stuff across the room??! Every male cat I’ve ever had has done what Luoin is doing.

My first question is: I wonder if Lupin can fly? My second question: Can he stick the landing? Don’t mess with Elvis.
