OMC, I must be psychic. Just like the one with Elvis and the rattle, I was thinking of this little storyline earlier! I’ve been wanting to see Sophie’s art! She’s so elegant~
A long, slow walk followed the conversation at the “litter”. Tre-C and Megan got back to ‘meetzncheezes’ just in time to see the cheerful blue neon ‘open’ sign warn people off with it’s change to a harsher red ‘closed’. Then, after watching Jimmy drive off in his 1956 Chrysler, the two girls entered the back room of the deli and got comfortable knowing it would be a while until Maxie could meet them. Megan climbed up to her favorite spot at the top shelf of an old wooden bookcase, Tre-C made her nest on a stack of empty sacks just below. “You probably already figured this out,” Megan said, “but we really aren’t a detective agency as such.” The Tuxie stretched, rump in the air and claws digging in to the wood. “Way back in the day, a neighbor cat was talking about a friend who went missing. Long story short, I found her, reunited her with her family and ‘…happily ever after.’ Word spread and I found myself called upon to retrieve anything that was lost, misplaced or just wandered off.” “Looks like it kind of… um… expanded from there?” “Yeah, you could say that..”.
I’m wondering how this is all going to tie together?Do Tommy & Sophie have access to the Boys’ apartment? Are they allowed to visit?
Did the “kibble” sign end up by accident in the Boys’ trash, & did Tommy bring it in to woo Sophie with a piece of artistic material? I mean, it would smell delicious, is big, colorful, & perfect for magnets!
Thirsty Thursday! Is your furbaby’s water changed at least twice a day? I know when Dusty wants a change when I hear him slurping at the tub faucet.
Mind you, the water in the bowl is only 45 minutes old, but it’s lost that “special something”.
Sis’s kitty used to knock the water bowl over when things weren’t “fresh” enough, usually while she was at work. Her poodle, Randy, used to do the same thing. The furries never knew each other.
Guess I’ll take Mr. Slurpy over that!
Love, boops, purrs & warm vibes! Orbsters needing comfort & reinforcement — let us know! We’ll conduct you safely to the Mega Core, our nexxus wherein Georgia’s orb is always lovingly attended. Best place for the healing to go into maximum effect!
Bless you. I have to keep the lid down on the toilet or Jasper (aka Mr. Wonderful) thinks it’s his personal drinking fountain. Oh, I didn’t tell you guys, he is fine. It seems he got in a fight with another cat. He had several puncture wounds, nothing broken. Antibiotics and painkillers at the emergency service (which has a really nice new building and the same amazing doctors).
Meanwhile I’d settle for an orb where I’d have a roof over my and my cats’ heads. I don’t mind the paperwork, it’s the endless waiting. Fill out forms and wait three months to two years.
Unless something happens (and I am still hopeful something might), I have about three months before I am homeless. I am serious, and I am accepting donations through Paypal. Like the guy at the freeway exit’s sign says, anything helps!
The kibble crisis may have put a bit of a cloud over the boys, but here’s the silver lining. Sophie has been inspired to produce another great work. Things always turn out for the best.

After being in hiding for a week & dodging a visit to the dreaded V.E.T. the other day because she couldn’t be found, Onyx is starting to be a little less freaked out. She even let sis pick her up for a brief lap-sit & some petting. Sis found her in the downstairs closet & put her in the bathroom this morning so she won’t have to tear the house apart looking for her when it’s time to go to the dreaded V.E.T.
That purr! Sis says it’s like a Harley-Davidson. & she knows her name. Smart Onyx is smart!
https://www.instagram.com/p/Bp7K2HKFHln/
The latest: The dreaded V.E.T. says Onyx is already spayed & is probably older than 10 based on the fact that she has almost no teeth. (How she’s eating crunchyf00dz, I have no idea, but she’s gobbling it up like there’s no tomorrow!) She got her rabies shot & goes back next month for her other shots.
Sis says, “My free-to-good-home cat just cost me $377!” At least she won’t have to pay for spaying!
Finally heard back from my local humane society about TNR for my colony. Unfortunately, the answer basically translated to “sucks to be you.” They have grants and funds, but it’s only for people on government assistance. There’s nothing they can do for a feral colony. So, I’m back to square one. (I love the colony, and I will love any kittens that come along, but I know they would all be healthier and happier if I could get this done for them.)

No visionary artistic masterpiece is complete without the kibble label.

Sophie I approve of adding Georgia Dunn’s name to your latest creative effort. One artiste recognizing another.

Well Sophie has access to a lot of shredded toilet paper she can add to her creations this week.

Love your art Sophie. Be careful though, if you move the kibble reminder it may be forgotten…

Lupin: Local artist creates magnetic masterpieces!
Take it away, Tommy!
Tommy: Quite a stir here in a local kitchen, where one cat is hard at work!
Gifted artist, sensitive visionary, and top-notch best friend material: Sophie, how do you do it?
Sophie: Not now, Thomas.
Tommy: Not now, Lupin!
Sophie: It’s nearly complete.
