Uh-oh, the Angry Puck Eyes and the Angry Puck Ears! Elvis needs to stop putting his paw in his mouth and instead pay attention to Lupin putting his paw in his food.
Off Topic:Dad is doing better but it looks like he will have to go to rehab to get stronger before he can come home. This is really annoying him but he understands that if he can’t get to his feet and make it to the bathroom. then it is impractical to try to come home. We will have to see what this week brings.
OT: Amy’s Vicky and Annika: both had mild respiratory infections (the white Annika a bit worse than their sister) both have been given a dose of anti-biotics including a continuing dosage everyday of about 0.5 ml by an oral syringe for 5 days. They got a dewormer/flea treatment and were treated for ear mites as well. The vet said Amy was very fortunate to find the little ones as the recent cold spell (it got down into the 30’s here the past couple of mornings with some frost) likely would have killed the little ladies and for them nights around 50 were quite cold enough, too cold, she thinks Vicky and Annika probably were only outside for one or 2 days…. Overall, she said they were underweight and are probably more like 10 weeks old though we thought 6 due to malnutrition (they seemed to double their weight after my Amy found them which makes sense if they were starving)…. The vet approved of the kitten diet we have been feeding them and keeping them away from the older cats for another week or so as we have the room to do it. They go back on the 23rd for a follow-up. They are now more active and like to wrestle which is a good sign!
Acceptable for the purposes of a comic strip, but if two cats are not getting along, feeding them side-by-side is not recommended. Mealtime is probably the highest tension part of the day for fearful cats.
I’ve never known a cat or any other animal to hold a grudge forever. Mr Kitty came into my life as a stray. He had problems keeping his rear quarters clean so he had mats back there which had to go. I held his tail, lifted slightly to keep him from gaining traction, and did what had to be done. I apologized profusely through the whole process. Later, he was on my lap, looked right into my eyes to tell me why, lifted a paw with one claw extended, and shoved the claw through my nostril. We were even, and that was that. Soon after, he learned to trust that I would never hurt him or insult his dignity without a very good reason so no more scratches or nostril claws of justice.
It is a pure joy to watch our horrible feral monster playing solo cat games. In the middle of the living room with both of us present.
Batting around fur mice or catnip bags, doing the head shake thing. SEE! IT MOVED! KILL IT! And if we are not in the room, she announces her kill until one of us calls out acknowledging the mighty hunter.
And there is the random interception game. As we walk from room to room she just happens to show up in our path. Fancy meeting you here. Well, since you’re here, I suppose it would be okay for me to allow you to give me some skritchies. But I DO have an attitude.
She sleeps on our bed most nights. Nothing to do with us. No sir, its just a comfy place, especially those terrain features under the blankets.
10 more years and we might even be able to pick her up.

To Bop or not to Bop that is the question! Tis nobler to apologize even though, the slings and arrows, of your kitty glare, are quite outrageous!

Bah-bah-bah-bah, bah-bah-bah-bah
Bah-bah-bah-bah, bah-bah-bah-bah, please don’t bop!
Well, you can rock it you can roll it
You can stomp and even stroll it, but don’t bop
When Elvis be sleepin’
It’s your own bizness you be keepin’ and don’t bop
Have sweet dream sensations in your nap locations
But don’t bop
Ah, let’s forget the bop
Let’s forget the bop, (oh Elvis)
Let’s forget the bop, (oh Pucky)
Let’s forget the bop
Come on, let’s forget the bop
Well, you can swing it you can groove it
You can really start to move it but don’t bop
Where the snoring is the smoothest
And the napping is the coolest with no bop
All the cats and mice can rest real nice with no bop
Let’s go!
Let’s forget the bop
Let’s not do the bop, (oh Lupin)
Let’s forget the bop, (oh Goldie)
Let’s just try to stop
Come on, let’s forget to bop
Bah-bah-bah-bah, bah-bah-bah-bah
Bah-bah-bah-bah, bah-bah-bah-bah, do not bop!
