Tour bus broke down. We were all loaded on the second tour bus (which was already full) and were jammed in tight enough I considered trying to take a nap standing up.
One of my coworkers was ex-Army, and he claimed that he often slept while literally walking a post. Being a bit of an insomniac and considering it a victory to be able to sleep in my own bed, I found this incomprehensible.
I read an article one time stating that the brain, when deprived of enough sleep, will shut down and you will involuntarily fall asleep. This will happen regardless of what you’re doing. You could be rocking in a chair, driving a car or landing a plane. I sorta had this happen once while in college. I almost broke my nose one time when a large chemistry book fell on my face when I was studying in bed with the book propped on my chest. I was quite tired, but had deemed it important enough to read a chapter of the book before turning in for the night. I don’t think I’ve ever been startled awake in a worse way than having a large book fall on my nose!
When you are in a real war, you sleep when you can. When all heck breaks loose you may have to go a couple of days with next to no sleep. If you are up against fresh troops, it’s bad news.

But hey, he was the best shot.

As bad as stormtroopers aim is, how would you know he was asleep?

“Up late the night before.” Probably has a part-time job.

I just noticed how much it looks like Dirk’s troopers are all wearing yellow briefs on the outside of their battle uniforms.

The explosions were like the sounds of thunder and you know how well I can sleep when there’s a thunderstorm.

Dirk should not complain about his storm-troopers sleeping in battles, as the shooting did improve.

My dentist told me people sometimes fall asleep in the chair while he’s drilling on their teeth.

Well it’s not like he’s gonna hit anything anyway, maybe his aim will improve if he isn’t aiming.

I’m impressed that he sleeps on his feet. Then again, he might not be human under that costume.

At least he’s not wasting ammo!
