With global warming, you could build a snowman in Antarctica and watch it melt down at the same rate as the person it is an effigy of.

If only people relieved their hatred by melting snow or other effigies. BTW, Calvin, you should’ve made those ones that you hate the most bigger, so they’d take longer to melt, getting a slow, painful end.

It’s a good thing he’s doing this after Christmas.

This is his snowball,-snowman period, but soon, like some other fine artists, Calvin will go cubist!

haha- I love the sheer malevolence of Calvin here. You don’t see children in comic strips talk about “hate” that often, and especially not with such malice. You can just HEAR his tone in this one. Hobbes, of course, is cutting through everything with a single well-placed comment.

Does anyone wonder about the kind of childhood Bill Watterson had?

Now this could represent a very serious personality disorder.

That’s a LOT of hate for one little guy!

You’d think he’d do the opposite so his worst enemies would suffer longer (boy, that’s sadistic).

That’s a disturbing side of Calvin.

At his age, brussel sprouts should be his level of hate.

Da Doc told me I should write long letters to the people I hate and then burn them. Not sure what to do with all these letters, though.

It’s not a bad idea to channel your aggression into harmless channels. You can’t bottle it up, so you have to deal with is some way. If you get really good at it, you might actually channel it into something productive.

Watterson is an excellent artist but I’ve grown tired of his expressing his negativity through this brat.

He’s probably just doing everyone in the world.

Can hardly wait for our little sociopath to grow up.

This strip contradicts what is shown about Calvin. The ONLY people he ever interacts with are his parents, his teacher, Susie, and Moe, yet, it’s implied that he made many more snowmen than that.

I was eagerly awaiting the return of the snow folks. Now I am not so sure.

Uh oh. In junior high, I used to make my own paper dolls and yeah, I made them of my friends/classmates. And I drew the paper dolls really ugly for the girls I didn’t like and gave them ugly clothes and bad hair. Hey, saved me years of therapy. LOL

I never had such anger or hate. Don’t have that now.

Are there any with tiny hands?

Not so much wondering about Watterson, but more about what things could a six-year-old be seeing or reading to come up with the heinous things this kid comes up with.

Maybe he could go find the garden hose.. aka, the cold laser beam of streaming death.

…Calvin, that is SO WRONG!!!..The ones you really hate should be made larger so that they melt slower and therefore suffer more.Amateur…

*The Sunday with the slushball, Suzie’s eye getting “knocked out”, and the poophead is still number one overall.

He is not only a great cartoonist with his story lines, he is an excellent artist with the expressions, etc.

there are snowman comics in every strip this month…but this is where it started….

There was this one kid who was hassling me when I was in school , so I drew a picture of him getting eaten by an alligator in art class. He soon stopped picking on me after that.
