What first-grader goes to bed at 1830 hours? That’s just a half hour after bed without getting a chance to do their homework.

Watterson’s art work is always good, but sometimes it just blows me away. Like that first panel.

Still a better babysitter than Vicky from “The fairly oddparents”.

For Hobbes, it’s always about the smooches.

Crazy awesome, dynamic angle in the first one, there. It really gives off as sense of panic. Hobbes’ annoyed face, and Calvin’s “Gross-Out!” face, are two picture-perfect examples from the master.

LOL! Rosalyn should do it (or threaten to), just to torture Calvin even further!

If it wasn’t for Hobbes, Calvin would be considered a multiple personality case.

Is it a running gag that Hobbes likes Rosalyn? I might be thinking of Susie.

I remember how this story arc ends. After they’ve tormented Rosalyn for a while before she get’s the upper hand, Hobbes notes that it’s 7.00 pm and they’ve stayed up half-an-hour later than they usually do with Rosalyn.

I ain’t never did no homework through my 15 years or tenth grade of eddicayshun.

Funny how he’s so terrified of boredom. I can understand his fear of school, but this?

Look at Hobbes tail in the first panel !! Watterson’s attention to detail is incomparable !

It’s strips like these that convince me that Hobbes really is real and not just Calvin’s over-active imagination. Hobbes is way more into the ladies than Calvin.
