One of the joys I find in comics — without the context of the last few days’ strips, this would be completely incomprehensible, and thus worthy of posting on its own for endless contemplation.

When I was a kid, I assumed Calvin landed in a black hole when he fell off the earth, but now I know that’s supposed to be the Milky Way galaxy.
Did he develop his own atmosphere when he grew big enough, hence how he can breathe?
