Coming Soon 👀 At the beginning of April, you’ll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Today’s strip reminds me of a Ray Bradbury story which appears in the collection called “The Golden Apples of the Sun”. One Chinese city had a circular wall. Another city built their wall in the shape of a pig’s head and claimed that the other city was an orange and their pig was going to eat the orange.
I’m sure the answer to my concern is either that this is just a cartoon, and the regular rules don’t apply, or this is art, and the image conforms to the artist’s concept or vision, but nonetheless I have always marveled that no matter how many cubic yards of snow get used in Calvin’s wonderful creations, there are never any bare patches in the yard from where the snow used to be. When I was young and lived in a land of Winter snow (Iowa, to be more precise) the more snow that was used, the more leaves and sticks and grass ended up in the finished product. It took another snowfall to cover up the bare spots and imperfections. OK, then a third answer is that Calvin only makes his creations while it is snowing in order to make reality conform to his reality. Hmm. I’d better stop now.
I’m sure it has been commented on many times as I’ve been reading Calvin and Hobbes for years, but I just have to say; if Calvin were ever to grow into an adult, his imagination would make him a genius in the world of action or horror films.

Apparently, Calvin plans this art for a larger audience, or at least a higher one.

That masterpiece can be seen only by drones. Obviously, parents are oblivious of this six year genius artist.

HOW COOL!!!! they should he happy he has a wild imagination because it kept him busy which gave them a break for a while.

it’s so sad that Calvin has a bigger brain than his parents. Like it’s obvious that food is compost and Hobbes is real.

You can only see what it is from the air. On the ground it would look like piles of snow in a curved line.
